Hello,

How can I  run cTakes-4.0.0.1 on a Linux server as a stand alone service that users can utilize remotely?

Quite a while ago I had installed cTakes on a headless Ubuntu server as a service for end users.  I just finished installing 4.0.0.1 on a headless Ubuntu server, but there no longer seems to be a way to run it as a service nor grant access to users not logged into that server.

Your user Install Guide states that a windowing system is now needed to use cTakes, which isn't possible on a headless server machine.  I did find a GitHub project "ctakes-rest-service", but it states that it isn't suitable for use on a server.

Is it still possible to install and utilize cTakes on a server?

Finally, the GitHub for the project contains the 6.0 version of cTakes, but no documentation.  The project links to https://ctakes.apache.org/index.html, but that site and documentation only provides/supports version 4.  Is there any documentation for later versions of cTake?

Thanks,

rik.
