Note that I'm a newbee with cTAKES so please take what I say/write with a grain of salt.
After obtaining the lvg.propertes file, as per my previous mail, 'Getting cTAKES to work with windows', I made the following change in that file, setting the LVG_DIR to: . LVG_DIR=/apache-ctakes-4.0.0Dev/ctakes/ctakes-lvg-res/tar get/classes/org/apache/ctakes/lvg/ in lvg.properties. The changes in the previous missive plus this change has all the examples working without error. Another note I'm running cTAKES locally. Also some mail from Ewan Mellor pointed me to a related bug report. Don
