Hi Sirisha,

Matthew Vita made an excellent video that contains some instructions on
creating a custom dictionary for ctakes. The default dictionary contains only
umls cuis, snomed ct and rx_norm codes.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4aOnafv-NQs
You want to create a dictionary containing CPT codes.

Subject: Get CPT codes out of input file using ctakes [EXTERNAL]

Hi,
Codes returned from Default Clinical pipeline seems to be NCI codes.

Is there a way to get CPT codes for the procedures? For example, for Cesarean
section, we should get a CPT code of 59510.

Would appreciate if you could share your experience on how to get CPT codes out
of CCDA document that was provided as input.

Thanks

Sirisha
