@garrensmith hey i just pushed these

changes to reflect the new RouteObject functions. I'd like it if you could
take a look (please :) to make sure i'm doing everything correctly. The big
thing I wasn't sure about is if I need to explicitly call removeComponents
somewhere. I saw that you did that sometimes in your code, but wasn't sure
where to put it in mines, if at all.
