Would it make sense simply to update these things each time it comes up, rather than opening the floor for debate, unless there’s no obvious appropriate replacement? Perhaps that’s bylaw-worthy.
BTW our irc channel is not logged and while this snippet is not likely to cause the world to collapse, there’s an expectation that what’s said on IRC stays on IRC, as part of being a Safe Place to chat. This was pointed out to me once but it doesn’t appear to be documented anywhere either.
