This wonderful project is maintained by a bunch of hard-working volunteers. I think the worst issue is that not enough time is devoted to the much needed bug fixes, dependency updates, documentation, and other maintenance work needed.
At the same time there is plenty of talent available to do this kind of work if sponsored. I am also available for short-term projects of this nature. I am unfortunately not able to continue with active maintenance for free at this time.
