Github user shazron commented on the issue: https://github.com/apache/cordova-lib/pull/481 The 0.10 and 0.12 errors were from using String.includes, which can only be used in ES6, and that feature is only supported in node >= 4, changed to using String.indexOf instead. While that fixes the error, it shows another one after adding the ios platform from the master branch of cordova-ios -- pods.json is missing the "spec" property ([this pods.json spec property check](https://github.com/apache/cordova-lib/pull/481/files#diff-17ad7ab65fc264c2d2d1792c17468c6aR433) fails). This likely due to an error in the Platform API implementation.
