I gave IndexedDB shim over websql a shot, but it is not 100% compliant and has some bugs - http://github.com/axemclion/indexeddbshim. I am working on fixing the bugs, but to the level it works, I tested and it works with Cordova well !! Could we use that as a starting point ?
