Kevin Hawkins commented on CB-1832:
-----------------------------------

This one probably requires some discussion. Functionally, we could just change
the webView to be a UIWebView, and take away CDVCordovaView. However,
CDVCordovaView is "out there", and we can't guarantee that removing it wouldn't
break compatibility with existing apps, if developers have in turn extended
that class in their apps. Thoughts?

> CDVCordovaView inherits from UIWebView. Apple's documentation for UIWebView
> states that classes should not inherit from this class. Most straightforward
> recommendation is to simply remove CDVCordovaView, and make
> CDVViewController's webView property actually be a UIWebView. There's
> currently no custom logic in CDVCordovaView to support a custom view anyway.
