At this point, I do not do newly-graduated projects. There’s a few reasons for
this.
One, those new PMC members don’t generate [NOTICE] emails to board@ and so it
would require another way to gather that data. Definitely doable, I just
haven’t done it.
Two, this is usually higher volume than just the existing TLP PMC additions.
For example, in January, there were 23 new PMC members, but 12 of those were a
new TLP (HugeGraph). In February, that was 63 and 46 (ie, only 17 were to
existing TLPs.
Three, they just got out of the Incubator, and are hopefully already keenly
aware of the information that I’d be giving them.
That is not to say that this shouldn’t be done. I’m just not doing it at this
time, and it’s not currently on my ToDo list.
This is a volunteer opportunity, and I’d be delighted if someone would step up
and do it, or at least write it up as a detailed ToDo item. We need to get into
the habit of creating “easy first issue” tickets, or the sort of [CONTRIBUTION
OPPORTUNITY] mailing list threads like Airflow does.
