hi - From the GSOC website [1], it appears that the ASF has been approved as one of the 185 organizations in the program as of Feb 19th. Congrats.
I am a former GSOC mentor and this year I am trying to lead the program at Apache Fineract. I have many questions about the process because I have not been involved at that level before. I note that the list of proposed projectsm is now managed and auto-generated on the ASF wiki pages [2] from the Jira tickets (tagged gsoc2026), see also linked from the GSOC announcement. Aside: at my project may need to edit for clarity >From my perspective, given the hierarchy of GSOC --> ASF --> ASF Projects, do we have a need for additional mentoring coordination? How do I direct mentors to register? Is there a limit to the number of GSOC projects a mentor can take on? Can mentors be re-allocated after the selection process? I note these helpful suggestions for Students who are applying [3]. and many resources at the Google site.[4] Looking forward to it.
