Hi Russell Thanks for reaching out. As I think Rich mentioned I'm taking a bit of time out from ASF stuff at the moment and am sure that there are others on this list and in the Comdev PMC that are willing to help out with this.
I know that there are other projects that have implemented some kind of funding or subsidiary to community members that are organising or participating in community related activities. Talking to the travel assistance team about how they manage the general ASF process could be a good place to start.
