Hi Rishika, Unfortunately, there is no recipe for it. There are a few things I can suggest: - Try to look for a project that uses a language you are familiar with. It will help you understand quicker the project - Once you have defined the language you want to practice, look at the Apache projects (or any other) that use the language. You can find this info on the github repo of each one of them.
The good first issues are a nice way to start because they point to easily understandable problems, and new commer can help. If a project you want does not yet have the good first issues tag, I would suggest contacting the mailing list of the project and asking if they need help with something. Communication is always the key. Once you picked an issue or any tasks, you will naturally looking for ways to solve it. Hope this helps.
