Hello everyone, The ALC [1] Indore Chapter [2] is planning to organize numerous subsequent webinars on 'Open Source & The Apache Way' in various colleges of Indore, India.
As per ALC Event guidelines [3], we would like to request for PMC approval for these upcoming ALC Indore Events. We are already in talks with the following colleges: 1. Sage University[4], 8th August 2020 2. Acropolis Group of Institutions[5], tentatively for 22nd August 2020 In the session we will be covering the following topics: # Open Source and The Apache Way -- What is Open-Source -- History of Open-Source -- Open-Source Vs Closed source -- Open-Source license -- About the Apache Software Foundation and it's history -- About the Apache Way -- ICLA and how it should be signed to contribute in ASF -- Apache Incubator -- The Foundation structure -- The projects under the Apache umbrella -- The Mailing list and it's usage -- How to pick a project based domain/programming language interest Following will be the speakers: 1. Aditya Sharma 2. Priya Sharma As we will be doing similar events with the same content and speakers, it would be good if the PMC can allow us to conduct further events based upon the current approval. We will continue to follow the other ALC Event guidelines [3] and continue to post updates on the same email thread.
