Dear all, # ALC Indore Chapter I am very pleased to update you all, the Apache Local Community (ALC) [1] idea is taking shape. We are happy to announce the establishment of the first ALC chapter, "ALC Indore [2], India".
Apart from this, we are in sync with volunteers from Massachusetts, Galway, and Bangalore. So we are hopeful in the next one year, we will be able to set up a more sustainable and impactful local community of Apache lovers. # Event Update One more interesting update is, ALC Indore is all set for its first event, for local Apache and open-source enthusiasts, "Apache Hackathon" [3] on 24 August 2019. ALC Indore invited local Apache enthusiast and open-source lover to participate in the Apache Hackathon. The participant will contribute to the Apache projects, which includes code development, project documentation, testing and review patches, etc. The participants who are new to Apache (or open-source) and it's projects, the ALC Indore will guide them on the ASF, The Apache Way, various Apache Projects, and help them to start their contribution. The participants will be facilitated by the following facilities. - Space (table-chairs) - Power Supply - High-Speed Internet Connectivity (WiFi) - Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks, and Dinner The venue and above facilities are sponsored by HotWax Systems [4].
