I think these are all great topics, thanks for sharing! My comment as someone who's been around Apache for quite a while is that "big" initiatives tend to be abandoned after some time, as our community members tend to come and go and their availability varies over time. I'm much more of fan of small, concrete things that help us progress in those areas. Blog posts that stand on their own and stay around forever, concrete actions at our conferences and events that help foster diversity, etc... As an example, I would be very skeptical about a Foundation-wide initiative for a knowledge base architecture. But if you find one or two projects who are willing to participate in such an experiment by reworking their documentation I would be very enthusiastic - their docs would probably improve in the process and can later serve as examples for others, and the energy invested is directly valuable. I hope I'm not being too negative - this sounds like a great initiative and I hope we can channel it so it brings long-term value to the Foundation. -Bertrand --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@community.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@community.apache.org
