+1 The geospatial track at ApacheCon NA 2018 yesterday was overflowing the room.
One of the discussions was about Apache Projects include some geospatial functionality. These projects were identified as having geo functionality directly in their project: - SIS, Calcite, Lucene, Solr, Marmotta, Open Climate Workbench, SDAP, Druid These projects are known to have significant geospatial extensions not part of the core project: - Spark (GeoSpark, GeoTrellis), Accumulo (Geowave, Geomesa), Jena / Fuseki, UIMA (Baleen) Having each of these projects add geospatial as a category would facilitation coordination.
