The conference is organized by KAIYUANSHE, a ground-up open source alliance in China founded in 2014, which engages closely with the open source communities, projects and leading IT and internet enterprises with our missions on cultivating OSS governance, bridging globally and developing/supporting communities. One success we have had is to evangelize and bridge enterprises, communities and projects in China to ASF and other world leading OSS foundations and vice versa. A good example is that KAIYUANSHE held the 2015 Apache China Roadshow which helped engage quite a few leading enterprises and home-grown OSS projects with the visiting ASF executives and members. These engagements opened the door for many local projects to the ASF Incubator. There were only 3-4 China-originated ASF Incubating/TLPs back then, and it is 11 now. Our dedication and continuous efforts have led to very strong support and sponsorship commitment on the upcoming COSCon'18 from Baidu, Tencent, 360, Huawei, Microsoft, Ubuntu Kylin, Primal Blockchain, etc., plus promoting partnership from est. 50+ domestic and overseas open source communities. The Apache Way and ASF projects have been a crucial part in 2015 Apache China Roadshow, COSCon'16 and COSCon'17, when many senior ASF executives and members, such as Brett Porter, Ross Gardler, David Nalley, Niclas Hedhman, J. Aaron Farr, etc. presented and Jim Jagielski video greeted on our plenary session last year. For COSCon'18, we expected to have more ASF gurus and projects to present, including 11 China-originated ASF projects, such as Apache CarbonData, Eagle, Kylin, RocketMQ, and incubating Doris, Dubbo, ECharts, Griffin, ServiceComb, SkyWalking and Weex, and also other ASF TLP communities in China. Again, we'd like to call for your speech and, if selected, come to COSCon'18 to deliver it and meet up with existing and many solid, potential OSS projects here, including the big names mentioned above and more. Your travel and lodging expenses will be covered. Please see more COSCon'18 details in the attached documents. We look forward to seeing your speech submissions.
