(From a spark of an idea elsewhere 8-)

The most frequent use for the maturity model has been for podlings who
choose to use it for a self-assessment when preparing to graduate. But
there's a lot of value in there for existing and long-running TLPs as
well.

* How can we improve the documentation around the model to help PMCs
that may want to use it for self-evaluation on a periodic basis?

Coming up with a simple How-To that talks directly to Apache project
community members, showing how to approach a self-assessment, and
pointing out some of the benefits for community health maintenance.

This would start best from some folks who have gone through the model
and done an evaluation on some podling or project, and can provide
feedback on the practical parts of getting a community to effectively
use the model to reflect on their behaviors.

Anyone done an assessment that can help out here?
