Apache is all about helping oneself. To find people willing to mentor you it is recommended you show up with evidence you will return more value than time you ask for. Everyone here is a volunteer and had their own drivers, which usually prioritize the production of strong coding communities. So if you arrive at a project that interests your and offer contributions, then you'll find people will help you. In your mail you identify areas of interest but have not defined a specific project of interest. you indicate you are confused by our projects page. That's fine. It just means you have yet to find something that excites you. I recommend you read blogs that cover your area of interest. Find tutorials that look cool. Ruin through them. Learn which projects are used within them.
