Hello, I am Shivam, pursuing B.Tech from IIT(BHU)-Varanasi. I want to ask same as Arpit. As my fields of interest are Big data analysis, machine Learning, and i also started with Hadoop. I am going with Java and also knows Python. I have seen many apache projects that links with my interest. But as of I didn't contributed to any open source organization or any project. But i am willing to involve with apache projects taking GSOC 2015 as goal. So i want your suggestions how should i proceed or which projects are good for me to start. Willing to get a start.
