Hi all,

before sharing this with you I've been talking internally about what we
could do to customize the Apache Extras experience. As far as I understand
we can easily remove the left menu (SourceForge categorization) and get rid
of the featured projects list that shows up in the directory (see
http://sourceforge.net/directory/enterprise to see how it would look like
today).

Other changes are definitely possible, but it might take some time to get
them implemented since we're still a bit under-staffed at SourceForge and
we are actually in hiring-mode. I'm pretty sure my colleague Dave
Brondsema, Apache Allura VP and SourceForge leading engineer, would
probably able to provide more insights on what could be achieved.
