so i thought I'd just get that out of the way.

This sounds hellishly like one persons (or a small group of peoples)
academically oriented work as oppose to a motivational, community relevant
topic which will grab the audience by the neck and shake some open source
massage oil into them. This is merely my opinion. It sounds too much like
it belongs in the CFP.
