I heard on the proverbial grapevine that it's a group effort. The
project representative is there to be the 'expert' in the field, so to
speak, but there should be no benevolent dictators when it comes to
content selection. As Bertrand says, there are multiple facets to a
talk, where one content manager may know about A and another knows about
B, so pooling is without a doubt a requirement in order to get the best
talks approved. With a mix of experts and non-experts in each field, we
can get a discussion going on whether a talk is a) relevant, b)
technically sound, c) interesting to an average participant.
