Yeah mine too. I just saw Extras as an "extra" way (pun intended) to even add another "YES ARE YOU F*#(#(#-ing sure?" prompt? I thought of Extras as a home for "sort of Apache" software, with the ability to say isolate Apache related projects that want to dynamically (not mandatory) link to LGPL plugins and lib in precisely the ways you've specified. Not a loophole.
