Not sure, but it looks like CODEC-263
https://issues.apache.org/jira/projects/CODEC/issues/CODEC-263?filter=allopenissues
might have been fixed a couple of versions ago and can be closed. It's
the only critical open issue in Jira.

CODEC-249 and a few others could use some attention, but probably none
of them are blockers.
