The RN section which mentioned the compatibility issues was buried at
the end of a huge list of changes, so I did not see it at first.
It did not explain that we believe the code to be binary compatible
with2.0, at least as far as the public API is concerned.
The description in changes.xml was not updated.
Next time the RN are generated from it any changes would be lost.

I have now updated changes.xml and regenerated the RN.
I hope they are clear, but if not feel free to adjust changes.xml and
regenerate the RN:
mvn-N changes:announcement-generate -Prelease-notes -Dchanges.version=2.1
Ah, thanks for the clarification. I think I missed that (or temporarily
forgot :P)
