Know How in that area is rare on Commons. So, it is likely, that this subproject wouldn't fit in very well and tend to be isolated. (Even some of us Java cracks, including me, will find dev@commons a burden from time to time. What do you expect a C programmer to think?) So, although we *are* open, I'd recommend another parent project. Like, for example, Artemis, which I'd consider to be a natural choice, if this comes from within Artemis.
