No, the _moved_to_git tree is deliberately read-only. And in order to move a component to Git, for obvious reasons its tree is also made read-only. Whoever does the move needs to temporarily grant themselves rw permissions to perform the move. [Unfortunately this is not a trivial exercise any more] I did the moves for MATH and LANG; I can do SCXML soon.
