Hi, afaik, we did not yet agree whether trunk should be the 4.0 branch or stay at 3.5, but I think it would be good to create a branch so that we can start working on the open issues.
Some new features / fixes might need to go into both branches. I would volunteer to maintain the 3.5 branch and backport stuff if nobody else is interested in doing it.
