Sorry for taking so long to respond... holidays and all. I tried the mvn site-deploy -P rc and it didn't work. I got to a password prompt and it simply hung. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to debug it now.
Maybe I'm completely missing something, but it's sad that it is this hard to cut a release of a commons library. I'll be the first to admit I know very little about Maven or the commons setup, so all of these commands are a bit of black magic to me at the moment. Would someone else be able to cut RC1 of dbutils and record command-for-command what they did to cut that release? Thanks...
