we've had that feature available for more than one year[1] (see bottom
page, generics added on 11.10.2010 23:39:15) and not released yet,
when proposing the 2.0-beta1[2] the community rejected the proposal
and people is still waiting for it - maybe because only Gary and I
explicitly requested for it, is not enough? Of course we can work with
SNAPSHOTS but it is hard - not just for me I bet - releasing products
based on SNAPSHOT versions

We all already agreed on continue the pool development in pool2,
nobody would expect new features included in the 1.X branch, so what's
the risk of increasing the compliance level?
