I added a few comments to the tickets.  Thanks for taking this on. 
I knew adding default inversion-based samplers for everything would
lead to requests for better versions.  At first, I wasn't thrilled
about that, but it certainly has attracted some interest and led to
some fun coding.  Nothing like code that works, but can be improved
for stimulating OSS activity :)
