The Apache Commons team is pleased to announce the release of version 2.2 of Commons Math. Commons Math is a library of lightweight, self-contained mathematics and statistics components addressing the most common problems not available in the Java programming language or Commons Lang.
Version 2.2 is primarily a maintenance release, but it also includes new features and enhancements. Users of version 2.1 are encouraged to upgrade to 2.2, as this release includes some important bug fixes. This release includes some minor API compatibility breaks with version 2.1. See the detailed list of changes included in the release notes for full description of all API changes, bug fixes and enhancements.
