I figured I’d just contribute this to the mailing list, since the current trunk still uses commons-net 1.4.1. This patch should update commons-vfs to have ftps support, but it requires commons-net 2.0. The new package re-uses code from the original .ftp package, so I had to make FtpFileSystem public instead of protected.
