Last year there was a lot of effort trying to get Commons CLI into a fit state for a 1.2 release -- much credit to Emmanuel Bourg.
However, having got the Subversion 1.x branch of Commons CLI into a fit state for a 1.2 release, nothing seems to have happened. This is a great shame -- 1.2-SNAPSHOT is what 1.1 should have been plus some more bug fixes. I have been trying to email Henri and Emmanuel privately for a while, but have had no reply. This may be due to my email failing to get to them, or it may be that I have offended or irritated them in some way and they are ignoring me. Or there may be a more complicated reason. Whatever the situation, I think Commons CLI deserves to get into 1.2 RC 1 and for the Apache release process to be swung into action for Commons CLI. Hence this email to the list.
