When you say "unit test," do you mean a unit test like the ones in
[performance] now that verify that the framework does what it is
supposed to, or a (set of) configuration file(s) that run tests
against derby?

I am open to any and all ideas on how to make the config and overall
setup in [performance] easier to work with.  I have thought about
assembling a set of config files that simulate certain types of
situations and committing them or putting them on the wiki somewhere.
Configs (including connect urls, etc) for various databases for the
dbcp tests would be good to have.
