Not stupid at all. I would imagine the artifacts go into the local maven
repo of vmbuild.apache.org Would be nice to expose that properly ...or
run the deploy goal to have the artifacts copied somewhere else. I guess
something to look into.

I think at least the URL pointing to the nightly builds on our main page
has to be changed, so that it really refers to the CI results.
