CentOS changes a LOT, especially around networking, so I would not be surprised if it does not work. It still takes me like 20 minutes to figure out what the hell I am doing when I login to CentOS7. No ifconfig, no iptables, etc, etc, etc... They pretty much did a wholesale change of everything you expect to be there.
