@wido The problem with that is that lsb_release doesn't come preinstalled
in base centos installs:
[cfiguerola@cent6 ~]$ lsb_release -r
-bash: lsb_release: command not found
[cfiguerola@cent7 ~]$ lsb_release -r
-bash: lsb_release: command not found
