I believe the problem was that sonar was outdated and the code analysis plugins could not handle some java 1.7 syntax (like resource blocks). With 5.1 even java 1.8 should not be a problem.
The 26 new are actually the old ones plus the javascript, javascript was not analysed so far. And hmmm... only the "minor issues" got less?
