Unfortunately, filing a ticket doesn't make code automatically spring into existence. This is an open source project developed by a community, and we have more incoming requests than we can handle. So you need to discuss it on the dev mailing list first, and then either develop it yourself or persuade other people of its importance so that they want to develop it in preference to all the other features they were planning to write.
