No, as I mentioned, I wanted to escalate visibility because it seemed like a quick kill for the person who knows what's going on, but I'm ok if we simply state in the release notes that the CentOS7 and Ubuntu 14.04 OS types are broken in this release. A work around is to use 'Other PV' or an older Ubuntu/CentOS OS when registering templates.
