Hi, I got a feature request to look into parameter completion. I’ve added few heuristics to automatically find suitable (list) APIs to get (uuid) options that can be used to complete an arg on an API: https://github.com/apache/cloudstack-cloudmonkey/commit/633152bf9067ff96e2236b3f9771291cced22dc8
Please note it’s not foolproof since it uses heuristics and approximations, only through thorough testing we can find and fix corner cases since there are more than 400 APIs to test. At the same time, I think it works for most APIs options. Please help test this feature. To get started, get cloudmonkey’s git repo and on master; - cd cloudmonkey - python cloudmonkey.py - sync - set set paramcompletion true - deploy virtualmachine templateid=<tab><tab> - any other api you want to try I think you’ll find this feature interesting and useful.
