I don't really have any input on this. It should work in general, I just don't know about the ppp device setup specifics. I've only ever tried over VPN where the endpoints weren't on the KVM or mgmt server. I'd just treat the ppp device like the mgmt IP/interface of the KVM host, but I don't know about where his bridges are running, etc.
