I wanted to follow up on this in the original e-mail thread (I mentioned this in another thread of mine, though).
I believe this failure to create an SR only started happening after the changes to XAPI. It sounds like there have been several other issues people have been experiencing with that change. I think it's a good idea to make such a change, but I'm not confident that change should go into 4.4 now that we are past feature freeze. It adds a fair amount of risk and, as we're seeing, is leading to blocking issues such as what I'm experiencing.
