I did not see a [MERGE] request for this important new feature and searching on the dev mailing list I did not find one, maybe I missed it. The only thing I found was the wiki page: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/CLOUDSTACK/Update+UI+visual+appearance and the bug https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-4748 The bug mentions the 'ui-restyle' branch, the version being affected is not specified. But the Basic reskin has been solved 5158 and applied to 4.3: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-5158 (too bad there is no commit message or merge request link in the bug, that would be nice). 5158 seems to be a work around using the existing CSS due to the complexity of the refactor. My point is that if it's still a work in progress why pushing it to 4.3 ? You can keep on working in the feature branch and once it's ready call a 'MERGE' request to give a chance to everyone to give feedback and file bugs. I hope to see a 'MERGE' request for what will be in 4.4. -Sebastin > > -----Original Message----- > From: Sebastien Goasguen [mailto:run...@gmail.com] > Sent: Friday, January 17, 2014 11:53 AM > To: dev@cloudstack.apache.org; Brian Federle > Cc: Jessica Wang; Sonny Chhen > Subject: Re: UI blocker > > > On Jan 17, 2014, at 1:41 PM, Brian Federle <brian.fede...@citrix.com> wrote: > >> Sorry, but cosmetic issues are not blockers :) It would only be a blockers >> if the functionality were NOT usable in any shape or form, for both testing >> and end use. >> > > I disagree, cosmetics i.e look and feel of a new major revision of a software > are as important as critical backend features.
