For 4.3 development purposes, I have been running the CloudStack Management Server in Ubuntu 12.04 in a VM on ESX. I've also got a XenServer host running in another VM on this same ESX host. When I want to run CloudStack with ESX, I run another VM with ESX on top of the same ESX host.
