It seems a reasonable approach, except that it reflects a failure of
previous modeling of the private gateway feature.
So, today we want to provide source nat,
Tomorrow perhaps static NAT?
The day after PF and LB ?

The difference between the public network and the private gateway (or the
network behind the private gateway) is not much (if any).
