The [.Net Framework cannot validate the
certificate|https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/framework/network-programming/understanding-webrequest-problems-and-exceptions]
that is provided by the server. This is not a DotCMIS issue.
There is no specific documentation for HTTPS because you just have to use a
https URL and that's it.
